More KL

So, we're taking it easy here in KL, giving Phil time to rest his poor ole foot. He's doing fine thanks for extraordinary nursing skills - heheheheh. Mind you, I do pick up after him and wash his feet and do stuff like that, so I'm allowed to say that. Never noticed previously though just how much I have to actually pick up - he's got this habit of dropping everything on the floor, no matter what it is, be it a sock, pants, teacups, tissues, magazines, crutches, trousers, you name it, it's on the floor at some point!

So we've been around KL a bit and usually we end up doing one thing a day, as if we stay out too long, his foot starts to swell and it's worse because of the heat. So far though, we've visited the Petronas Twin Towers - pretty cool - and the mall there - absolutely awsome. Wish I could shop, it's torture! Also, we went to the KL Tower and looked around the city, went to Times Square, the cinema and around Chinatown and Merdeka Square, etc. We watched the movies Babel and Blood Diamond. Thoroughly recommend Blood Diamond. It's such a good movie and so real in its acting. I don't like Leo much but he did well. Babel is pretty cool, too though sometimes you end up wanting to shout "No, stupid!" but then you think "Ah well, it's a movie." and then you think "Hang on, that was a bit unbelievable." It's good entertainment though.

A month ago, KL opened their version of the London Eye and it's meant to be even bigger than it. So far, we haven't been able to find someone who's been able to tell us exactly where it is. When we find out, we will go.

We're also planning on making a move out of KL on Monday if Phil is feeling up for it to go down to Tioman Island, which is meant to be very nice. At least we can then be on the beach and I can do some swimming and stuff. Hopefully we'll also get him out of his cast soon, so we can go to Singapore and then on to Oz.
